With most of the management in place, employees are busy preparing the Brewton Walgreen's for a Feb. 15 opening.
Walgreen's Brewton location is situated at the intersection of Douglas Avenue and Douglas Lane and will be offering a variety of goods and services when the new store opens, Brooks said.
The store will carry items typically found in drug stores, but will also carry items for the home and family.
Although many of Walgreen's 72 stores offer 24-hour service, the Brewton location will have only 14-hour days.
The facility will feature a full photo lab complete with the ability to take passport photos, Brooks said. Unique items may also become a part of the offered inventory.
The store manager will be Robin Millard, who will be moving to Brewton from Tampa, Fla. Assistant managers will be David Nunn and George Valdez with an additional assistant manager to be added soon.
Of the more than 20 people already in place at the Brewton store, all staff employees are Brewton residents, Brooks said.
The 14,800 square foot store, which is a typical size for Walgreen's locations, will open to the public at 8 a.m. Feb. 15.
