Mr. Charles Edward Payne, 62, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velma Jewel Payne and Robert Charles Moore, Sr., two sisters, Agnes Payne Floyd and Melba Jean Payne, and one brother, John Payne.
He is survived by three brothers, James (Dorothy) Payne, Robert (Celestine) McCaskill, and Robert Charles Moore Jr., all of Brewton, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at the Christian Memorial Funeral Home in Atmore with the Rev. Walter Earl Coleman delivering the eulogy and the Rev. Norman Millker, the Rev. H. K. Matthews, Sis. Brenda Walker and Bro. Billy Barksdale speaking. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in East Brewton with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
