Brewton
Mr. Earl Wayne Murphy, 64, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at his Brewton residence.
Mr. Murphy was a native of Boone, Miss., and had been a resident of the Brewton area for the past 38 years, coming from Sheffield. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Diana Murphy of Brewton; two sons, Charles William (Gloria) Murphy and Burlie Franklin (Lyndi) Murphy, all of Brewton; a daughter, Myra Amanda Murphy of Saucier, Miss.; a brother, Billy Jones Murphy of Demorest, Ga.; a sister, Martha Louise Rainey of Florence; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Brian Garrett and the Rev. William Joiner officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Craver's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.
