3 arrested on drug charges

Three Brewton residents are under arrest on drug charges following a routine traffic stop Sunday by an Escambia County sheriff's deputy.
Robert Rodney Hardy of Werlin Street in Brewton and Donna Miller of Dailey Street in East Brewton were arrested May 11 and a warrant for the arrest of Christopher Dewayne Miller has been issued by the sheriff's office.
On the day of the arrest, Deputy Curtis Smith with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office attempted to make a traffic stop on Blacksher Street in Brewton when the vehicle began to speed up. After a short vehicle pursuit, the driver turned into a driveway and turned his lights off, according to officials with the 21st Judicial Drug Task Force.
The driver was identified as Christopher Miller. Once the car was stopped, Miller exited the vehicle and began to flee on foot.
Smith detained the passengers of the vehicle who were identified as Robert Hardy and Donna Miller.
Following a search of the vehicle, Smith recovered crack cocaine from Hardy's back pocket. A further search uncovered additional crack cocaine and marijuana inside the vehicle. The search also netted a number of Lortab pills packaged in plastic bag, which authorities indicate intent to sell.
Hardy and Donna Miller were arrested on scene. Christopher Miller, who fled on foot from the scene, is currently wanted by the Escambia County Sheriff's Office in connection with the discovery of drugs in the vehicle he was driving. He also has several active warrants for his arrest in reference to this case.
The 21st Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force is assisting the Escambia County Sheriff's Office in the apprehension of Christopher Miller.
Robert Rodney Hardy, 48, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine; unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree; public intoxication and resisting arrest.
Donna Milleer, 46, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, Lortab; unlawful possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine; and unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree.
Hardy and Donna Miller were transported to the Escambia County Detention Center. Information on bond or release from the detention center was not available at press time.
Christopher Dewayne Miller, 29, has been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, Lortab; unlawful possession of a controlled substance, crack cocaine; and unlawful possession of marijuana, second degree. He is currently wanted by the Escambia County Sheriffs Department.
