Mr. Elbert Lovelace, 97, died recently. He was a member of First Shady Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son, James (Thelma) McCreary of New York; a daughter, Bessie (James) Fields of Waterbury, Conn.; four nieces, Jeanette Edwards, Millie Harris, Lillie Dean and Celinda Roberts; a close friend, Louise McNabb; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Presley-Fluker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. Frank Osby officiating. Burial followed at Second Shady Grove Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
