Griffin to head hospital

Christopher Griffin says he will have big shoes to fill as he takes over for retiring Phillip Parker at D.W. McMillan Hospital.
Kandace K. McDaniel, chairman of the Escambia County Healthcare Authority, made the announcement of Parker's retirement as administrator of D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital, effective June 30, 2008.
Parker will continue working with the hospital and assist with future renovations/construction and other administrative duties, McDaniel said.
Griffin has been serving D.W. McMillan Hospital as chief operating officer until the time of his appointment to the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Griffin is a Brewton native and a 1979 graduate of T.R. Miller High School. He is also a graduate of the University of Alabama and is a certified public account.
Griffin is married to the former Robin Lallier also of Brewton. They have three children, Kaitlyn, Christopher and Zachary.
