Just two races. They aren't local Does it really matter if you show up? Actually, yes.
Tuesday's election - which even local Republican leaders realize isn't garnering much attention - will choose the GOP nominees for public service commission and criminal court of appeals.
Why does that matter to you?
The public service commission helps regulate public services, such as power and gas companies, and approves rate increases.
Just about everyone in the state is affected by the entities the public service commission regulates.
Likewise, we all have a stake in who sits on the criminal court of appeals, which hears felony and misdemeanor appeals, including violations of city ordinances and criminal cases.
Take time to vote on Tuesday. You will be glad you did.
