Mrs. Ida Bradley Byrne, 82, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Conecuh County and a former resident of Robersdale, before moving to Brewton more than 60 years ago. She attended the University of Alabama, was a homemaker and a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert P. Bradley.
She is survived by her husband, Gladin Scott Byrne Jr. of Brewton; two sons, Gladin Scott Byrne III and Bradley Ellis (Ann) Byrne, both of Brewton; a brother, Philip Hughston Bradley of Huntsville; five grandchildren, Beth Crutchfield, Bradley Byrne, Scott Byrne, Patrick Byrne and Erin Byrne; and one great-granddaughter, Caroline Crutchfield.
Private family funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 28, at 1 p.m. at Union Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Lee Baldwin officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
