Mrs. Loretta Swinford Salter, 72, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at her residence. She was a native of Olive Hill, Ken. and had been a waitress.
She is survived by her sons, Mabrie G. Salter Jr. of Irvington, Thomas Edward Salter of Evergreen, and Steven Mack Salter of Bay Minette; her daughters, Debra Jean Hadley, Teresa Loraine Long and Karen Leigh Hadley, all of Bay Minette; a brother, George Swinford of Priceville, Tenn.; a sister, Judy Cumberland of Cincinnati, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; and a number of great-granchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 28, at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Cope Funeral Home in Evergreen. Burial followed at Lonestar Cemetery in Peterman with Cope Funeral Home directing.
