Time to party: foods great for holidays
Party season has arrived, and it's time to pull out some recipes for party-style foods. Chances are if you haven't been asked to provide some kind of party food at work or at a gathering, you will be soon.
Since there will be some occasion that requires you to prepare a party dish, I've decided to devote this space to recipes that make great additions to any party table.
Many people prefer the tried-and-true dishes that always end up on a buffet table filled with finger-friendly foods. If that sounds good to you, go ahead and prepare some spinach dip and throw some pigs-in-a-blanket out there for your guests.
If you're looking for something a little out of the ordinary, you may want to try some of these recipes. I've found some that still offer tastes that everyone loves and the ease of preparation that we're all looking for in this busy season.
My best advice to you is to plan ahead for those unexpected requests for a dish at the next party. This first recipe is a variation on the cheese and pepper combinations many people have come to enjoy. Although this recipe is a little work intensive, you can at least make a big batch and freeze them to thaw and carry on a moments notice.
