Brewton Narcotics officers were quick to react Tuesday afternoon in the capture of Cedric Lamar Carter.
As officers attempted to make a traffic stop, Carter made an attempt to flee from officers. After a brief pursuit, Brewton police officers were able to surround the vehicle and make the arrest in the parking lot of a restaurant on South Boulevard.
Carter was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, first degree, possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine) and possession of marijuana, first degree.
