Mr. Dan Hagood Walton Sr., 72, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Flomaton, was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen Walton Talley.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Harrell Walton of Flomaton; three sons, Dan Hagood (Bessie) Walton Jr. and Douglas Lloyd (Shelia) Walton, both of Flomaton, and Duane (Frances) Walton of Milton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 15, at 10:30 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Henderson and the Rev. James C. Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Pollard Cemetery with Willliams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
