JDCC Lady Warhawk softball now 1-7 after recent losses

The Lady Warhawk softball team of Jefferson Davis Community College fell to 1-6 with three losses in their last three games.
JDCC lost to LBW 9-6 and dropped a double header to LSU-Eunice by scores of 3-1 and 8-4.
JDCC’s game against Southern Union was postponed to a later date.
Nims said the girls have continued to work during the early season despite having just one win.
JDCC was set to be back in action Tuesday when they traveled to Central Alabama for a double header.
They will be back in action March 10 at home against Hibbings in a double header.
Game time is set for 1 and 3 p.m. at Lady Warhawk field in Brewton.
Game one: LBW 9, JDCC 6
Since winning their first game of the season, JDCC dropped their fourth straight game with a 9-6 loss to LBW at home.
JDCC rallied from being down 4-0 and 6-4 to tie the game at 6-6 to force extra innings. In extra innings, LBW scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning and held JDCC scoreless in the bottom half of the inning to claim the three-run lead 9-6.
The loss dropped JDCC to 1-4.
Carla Ray took the loss on the mound for the Lady Warhawks. Ray went three innings and allowed three runs (none earned) on three hits and struck out one in the loss.
Ashleigh Allgood got the start on the mound and went the first five innings. Allgood allowed one earned run (five total) on seven hits, one walk, and had eight strikeouts.
Sarah Varderman led JDCC at the plate with a 2-for-4 day and a double.
Amber Wilson was also 2-for-4 and Lauren Marshall was 1-for-2 with two RBIs.
Aleah Payne was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI and Jessica Morris was 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Kristin Myers was 1-for-4 with one RBI and Megan Denney added an RBI in the loss.
JDCC fell in game two to LBW 5-4 in a shortened game.
LBW held a 4-3 lead after one inning and JDCC tied the game at 4-4- in the third inning.
LBW added the winning run in the top of the fourth inning.
Game one: LSUE 3, JDCC 1
JDCC fell to a run in each of the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to fall to 1-5 overall with a 3-1 loss to LSU-Eunice.
JDCC held a 1-0 lead after the first inning, but was held scoreless the remainder of the game.
Varderman was 2-for-3 with a double and Amber Wilson was 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Kristin Myers was 1-for-3 and Sarah Huggins and Lauren Marshall were 1-for-2.
Ashleigh Allgood took the loss on the mound for the Lady Warhawks. Allgood went seven innings and allowed three earned runs on seven hits and had 10 strikeouts.
Game two: LSUE 8, JDCC 4
After both teams scored four runs in the first two innings, LSU-Eunice scored four more and held JDCC scoreless to claim an 8-4 win and drop JDCC to 1-6 overall.
Kayla McKnight took the loss on the mound for JDCC. She went one inning and allowed four earned runs on five hits and walked one.
Payne was 2-for-3 with a double and Allgood was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Huggins was 2-for-3 with one RBI and Morris was 1-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead JDCC.
