Evergreen to be site of benefit
A benefit basketball tournament will be held on March 28 at the old Evergreen Junior High Gym starting at 10 a.m.
The cost is $60 per team to enter the tournament.
Admission to the tournament will be $3 and $2 for students.

All proceeds will help benefit Isiah “Harpo” Maxwell’s travel to Hawaii in July to play with the Club USA Basketball of Champions.
Sponsors also are needed.
T.R. Miller QB club set to meet
There will be a T.R. Miller quarterback club meeting Monday, March 9, at the field house @ 6 p.m.
T.R. Miller softball to have tourney
The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger softball team will hold the 2009 T.R. Miller Invitational beginning Friday, March 13. The tournament will resume on Saturday, March 14.
The tournament will be an eight-team softball tournament, with games begginning at 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
At noon on Saturday, the single elimination part of the tournament will begin.
Along with T.R. Miller, W.S. Neal, Hillcrest, Clarke County, J.U. Blacksher, Jay and Jackson will play in the tournament.
