Another no-hitter for EB Little League

For the second straight week in East Brewton Little League, a no-hitter was pitched.
After being no-hit last week against the Cardinals, Conner Huskey picked up a no-hit 8-2 win for the Red Sox over the Cubs Thursday night.
Huskey allowed two runs, two walks and struck out nine as the Red Sox picked up the six-run win.
At the plate, Blake McGraw was 2-for-3 with a triple and a double. Trever Williams was 1-for-2 with a triple and Patrick Lovelace was 1-for-1.
Brandon Moye was 1-for-3 in the win for the Red Sox.
For the Cubs, Tyshawn Davis and Weston Riddle pitched in the loss.
Davis allowed three hits, seven runs, five walks and struck out five. Riddle allowed two hits, one run and struck out four.
Ryley Fore and Charlie Land scored the only two runs for the Cubs.
Yankees 9, Flomaton 4
In 11-and 12-year-old action Thursday night, the Yankees picked up a 9-4 win over Flomaton.
Miles Powell, Lane Chavers and Tyler Joyner combined four a three-hitter in the win on the mound as the Yankees had 10 total hits.
Powell struck out nine in the win and Joyner had one with no runs, hits or walks given up by the duo.
Chavers allowed three hits, four runs, four walks and struck out one.
Joyner and Alex O’Keane were both 2-for-3 at the plate and Powell was 1-for-3 with a triple. Nicholas Glass had one triple in the win as he was 1-for-2.
Dalton Shell was 1-for-2 along with Logan Allen. Colton Morris and Lane Chavers were both 1-for-1.
A’s 18, Cardinals 2
The A’s held the Cardinals to only two runs scored as they played 18 to get an 18-2 win Thursday night in the 9-and 10-year-old division.
Matt Hutchins and Harley Fuqua combined for the win on the mound for the A’s.
Hutchins allowed one hit and struck out five and Fuqua allowed four hits and two runs.
Hutchins was 3-for-3 at the plate in the win for the A’s with a triple and Keith Barksdale 2-for-2.
Fuqua was 2-for-2 with a double in the win and Duane Hamby was 1-for-1.
For the Cardinals, Jeremy Sims, Hunter Revel, Jacolby Hawthorne and Derrick Barton pitched.
Sims allowed two hits, four runs, and two walks and Revel allowed four hits, nine runs, four walks and struck out three. Hawthorne allowed one hit, four runs, three walks and struck out one. Barton allowed one hit, four runs and walked three.
Quinn Riley and Revel were both 1-for-2 at the plate and Sims was 2-for-2 with a double. Softball stats were not known as of press time.
