The Brewton Standard won 16 awards in advertising and editorial categories in recent contests sponsored by the Alabama Press Association.
The newspaper won eight first-place awards in the Better Newspapers Contest, which honors editorial contributions, and the advertising contest, which recognizes newspaper advertising.
