Mrs. Nell Madden Tindell, 71, of Gillis Street, died Sunday, June 14, 2009, at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Mennonite Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Louise Madden; and a sister, Audrey Madden.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl (Paul) Tindell-Tripoli of Pensacola, Fla.; two sons, Dennis Tindell and Larry (Lisa) Tindell, both of Brewton; six brothers, Jerome (Idell) Madden and Rankin (Garnett) Madden, both of Brewton, Marvin (Libby) Madden of Mobile, George (Jean) Madden of Grand Bay, Bill (Gladys) Madden of Saraland, and Ray (Doris) Madden of Daphne; three sisters, Orette McCall of Brewton, Ella Ward of Tampa, Fla., and Faye (Terry Lyndell) Tanner of Mobile; four grandchildren, Jason Stevens of Brewton, Alana (Brad) Hamblin of Pensacola, and Landon Tindell of Brewton; and one great-grandson, Murphy Hamblin of Pensacola.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 16, 10 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Brother Kenneth Martin, Brother Mark Regehr and Brother John Gehman officiating. Burial followed at Calvary Mennonite Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
