Mrs. Vernell Coleman Nelson, 62, of Travis Road, died Tuesday, June 30, in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Brewton. She was of the Full Gospel faith and a retired seamstress from Judy Bond.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Nelson of Brewton; four daughters, Wanda Craft of Castleberry, Brenda Coker and Linda Gorum, both of Huxford, and Sandra Square of Atmore; three brothers, Paul Coleman of South Carolina, and Robert Coleman and Roy Coleman, both of Brewton; three sisters, Linda Thomas and Pee Wee Nelson, both of Brewton, and Cora Lee Ruber of South Carolina; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at a later date and time by the family with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
