Fall baseball league planned for Brewton
The Brewton Little League is taking signups for its Fall Baseball League, which will begin September 1 at the YMCA Sports Park.
Cost for the league is $15. The Brewton Fall Baseball League is designed to help all players who will participate in Brewton Little League next spring; instruction is provided by Little League coaches and volunteers and is designed for each player to get personal instruction, repetition, encouragement and fun.
So, if a player will be in the 9-10 age division or the 11-12 age division next season, he is invited to be part of the Fall League.

EBLL registering for fall baseball Friday
East Brewton Little League will have their 2009 fall season signup on Friday, Aug. 21, from 4-6 p.m. at the East Brewton Civic Center.
All children aged 9-12 are eligible to signup, but you cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2010.
Players are asked to bring birth certificates if this is your first year playing.
Cost is $20.

TRM selling tix for Champions Challenge
The T.R. Miller Tigers will travel to Montgomery to play Leeds High School in the Champions Challenge on Saturday, Aug. 22.
Kickoff will be at 5 p.m. and tickets may be purchased at T.R. Miller High School and the cost is $10 per ticket.

Andalusia to have bowling league
Boland Lanes in Andalusia will be offering a youth/adult bowling league on Saturday, Aug. 22 at 9 a.m.
The league will be a chance for the area youth and adults to spend some fun time together.

Softball tourney to play in Poarch
A co-ed softball tournament will be played on Friday, Aug. 21, in Poarch.
Entry  fee is $110 and must be paid prior to first game. Tournament will be double elimination if less than 10 teams and pool bracket if more than 10 teams. Play will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Bow hunt to take place at YMCA
On Saturday, Aug 29, the Brewton\Escambia Bow hunters will be holding a 3-D archery shoot at the Brewton Area YMCA. It will be 15 targets with a 10 a.m. shotgun start.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, the Brewton\Escambia Bow hunters will be holding the annual pre-bow season bow hunter shoot with 15 targets and casual start from 9 a.m. until noon. You can join as a member of Brewton\Escambia Bow hunters and shoot these shoots free.
