Fishing Day to take place at JD
The Alabama South Fishers of Men ws preparing for their annual Kids/Senior Citizens Fishing Day to be held Saturday, Oct. 17 at the small pond at JDCC in Brewton.
Children will be allowed to keep five catfish as the day will begin at 7 a.m. and end at noon. All children ages15 and younger are invited to participate.

TRM’s 1969 team to be honored 
The 1969 team will be honored with a program today at 1 p.m. at the school’s auditorium. The program is open to the public.
JDCC softball team to have fundraiser
The Jefferson Davis Community College Softball team will have a  BBQ fundraiser, Saturday, Oct. 3, from 11 a.m. yo 3 p.m. at the JDCC softball field. A plate will be  $6.

JD to have Murder Creek Classic
The Jefferson Davis Community College Foundation will host its annual golf tournament, the Murder Creek Classic, Thursday, Oct. 15 at noon at the Country Club of Brewton.
Check-in and lunch will begin at 11 a.m.
Tournament proceeds will be used to fund Foundation projects, primarily scholarships. Also, the BankTrust Closest-to-the-Pin Shootout will be held.
