Mrs. Sylvia Ann Jerkins Caro, 66, of Jay Road, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2009, in a Pensacola, Fla. nursing facility after brief illness. She was a native and resident of Range, and a long time resident of Brewton. She was of the Baptist faith, a graduate of Repton High School and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Chesley Caro of Brewton; a son, Michael (Sandi) Caro of St. Charles, Mo.; a daughter, Cathryn Caro (Will) Perry of Pace, Fla.; a brother, Lee (Jo) Jerkins of Indiana; one sister, Mary Swartz of Monroeville; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth Caro, Rebecca Caro, Trevor Perry and Trenton Perry.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. William Joyner officiating. Burial followed at Range Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
