Mrs. Ruth T. Bennett, 80, died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, in Brewton. She was a native of Brown Summitt, N.C., a former resident of Harrisburg, Penn., and a resident of Century for the past 32 years. She was retired from the U.S. Department of Labor and EEOC. She was a member of Jehovah’s Witness.
She is survived by a brother, Reginald R. Bigelow of Connecticut; four sisters, Ruby Wilson (her twin) and Vera L. Braswell, both of Harrisburg, Maude E. Robinson of Century, and Marie (Lewis) Foster of Atmore; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m. at the Flomaton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness with Richard Ash officiating and Petty Eastside Funeral Home directing.
