Mrs. Burnie Mae Benton Hall, 94, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, in a local nursing facility after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was a member of East Brewton First United Methodist Church and a retired bank teller from Bank of Brewton with 45 years of service. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Harvey Benton; and a son, William Larry Benton.
She is survived by five grandchildren, Jim Benton of Pensacola, Fla., and Michael Benton, Keith Benton and Matt Benton, all of Brewton; four great-grandhildren, Brett Benton, Jarrod Benton, Blake Benton and Megan Benton; one brother, Millard Harrison Brown Jr. of Lapine, Ala., and a daughter-in-law, Sue Benton of Brewton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. George Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
