Habitat for Humanity will be working what volunteers hope is the final weekend on the organization’s first house in Atmore Saturday and Sunday.
Volunteers will be at the site in Nokomis from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Among the jobs to be done:
• Installing hardwood flooring
• Placing soffet under the eaves. Volunteers who aren’t afraid to work on high ladders are needed.
• Additional inside and outside finishing tasks.
The Atmore area house is the first on the west end of the county since Habitat expanded to include all of Escambia County.
Homeowner Jennifer Dorriety and her daughter hope to move in to the new house soon.
