Marcus Steven Brunson, 57, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 in a Pensacola, Fla., nursing facility. He was a native and lifelong resident of Century where he was self-employed as a truck driver. He was of the holiness faith and attended Bethel Temple. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Frank Brunson, a brother, Daniel Brunson and a daughter, Marsha Brunson.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Cumbie Galvan of Century; his wife, Becky Gonzales Brunson of Century; two sons, Lee Nix of Century and Josh Nix of Hawaii; a daughter, Sonji Camerson of Slidell, La.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. from the Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Peebles officiating. Burial will follow in the Flomaton Cemetery with the Flomaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Lee Nix, Jose’ Galvan, Nathan Galvan, Shane Hardy and Tony Datuin.
