Mr. Joel Eric Brown, age 67, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2010 in a local nursing facility.

Mr. Brown was born in Detroit, Michigan and had been a resident of the Brewton area since 1984, coming from Stuart, Florida.  He worked as a tool & dye maker for General Motors for a number of years.  He was a member of M.U.F.T.A. and U.A.W. Local #653, and was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, James & Edythe Brown.

He is survived by a daugher, Heather (Jonathan) Griffin of Ojai, CA; a sister, Patricia (Ed) Martin of Lady Lake, FL

Graveside funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Cemetery with Rev. Brian Garrett officiating.
