JDCC volleyball falls to Gulf Coast CC

Holding a 2-1 lead over Gulf Coast Community College, the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball lost their next two sets to lose 3-2.
The loss for JDCC dropped their overall record to 2-8 overall.
JDCC won game one 28-26 but lost game two 25-14 to go into the third game tied 1-1.
In the third game, JDCC won 25-20 but lost 25-23 in game four and 15-8 in the deciding game five to lose the match by one.
Laney Barr led the Lady Warhawks with 10 kills, five service aces, and one block. Jakiaria Boyd led with 31 total attacks and one block, Amber Broughton had 23 digs and Casey Perkins, Chelsey Slone and Latoya Wright all had one block each.
Later in the week, the Lady Warhawks went 0-4 losing to Faulkner State, Northwest Shoals, Wallace State Selma and Gadsden State. JDCC lost to Faulkner 3-0 losing 25-20, 25-20, and 25-19.
Barr had six kills and two service aces while Boyd had 22 attacks and two aces along with Olivia Jobson. Broughton had 12 digs and Perkins had one block.
Against Northwest Shoals, JDCC lost 3-1 losing 25-14 in game one, winning game two 25-20, losing games three and four 25-12 and 25-11.
No stats were known for the game against Wallace State Selma, but JDCC lost 4-1. Against Gadsden State, JDCC lost 3-0 losing 25-16, 25-23, and 25-23.
