In one of the most talked about and anticipated sheriff’s races in many years, Republican challenger Heath Jackson conceded to incumbent Grover Smith just after 9:20 tonight.

Jackson said he gained a lot of experience from the campaign asking his supporters to “be ready in 2014,” when he plans to run for the office again.
