Mrs. Mamie Williamson Norton Church, 89, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at a local care facility. She was a native of Millry, and a member of the Byrneville community since coming from Greensboro in 1963. She was a homemaker and a member of the Byrneville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Percy W. Norton Sr. and a son, Harold Grady Norton.
She is survived by a son, Pete (Diane) Norton of Century; a brother, Paul (Jane) Williamson of Louisville, Ken.; three sisters, Lucille Tindle of Semmes, Dottie (Jim) Fore of Coffeeville and June Chance of Prentiss, Miss.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, at 10 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Diane Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Byrneville Methodist Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Raybon Knowles, Robert Smith, Bobby Holland, John Koncelik, Corey Parrish and Charles Reid.
