JDCC beats LBW in overtime

In a Thursday night home game, the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks claimed a 78-71 win over LBW in overtime.
The win for the Warhawks improved JDCC to 6-8 overall and to 3-2 in conference play.
The Warhawks of JDCC led 29-28 after the first half, but were outscored 41-40 in the second half to see the game end in a 69-69 tie at the end of regulation.
In overtime, JDCC outscored LBW 9-2 in the extra period to get the win by seven points.
Kahlee Tyler led JDCC with 17 points and six assists. Braylon Lazare had 12 points and Gabriel Rice led JDCC with a double-double as he had 11 points and 14 rebounds along with two blocks. Of Rice’s rebounds, five were offensive and nine were defensive to lead the team. Daryl Duncan also had 11 points for the Warhawks in the win.
Brandon Scott had eight points and Turmonte Ragland added six points and had four steals. Larel Jackson added six points and Sherman Presswood had five. Adam Stumpf added two points in the win for JDCC.
JDCC will play at Wallace State-Selma Monday night at 7:30 p.m. and will return to Warhawk Gym in Brewton Thursday for a 7 p.m. game against Bishop State.
Both games will be conference games for the Warhawks.
