TRM graduate charged in rape case

A Brewton native and T.R. Miller graudate was arrested Thursday and charged with rape and sodomy.
Amy O’Barr Caudle, a 31-year-old special education teacher at Andalusia Middle School, is facing two counts of second-degree rape and three counts of second-degree sodomy following allegations of misconduct.
Lt. Paul Dean of the Andalusia Police Department said a press conference is set for today to release details surrounding the case. He would not say if the case involves local students.
While Andalusia City Schools Superintendent Ted Watson declined to comment on the case, he did say Caudle has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the case.
Watson said he also plans to speak at today’s press conference.
Caudle was booked into the Covington County Jail and is being held on a $1 million bond
