JDCC baseball on losing streak, softball ends losing streak with four straight wins

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk baseball and softball teams have been on several streaks as of late.
The baseball team is on a current 10-game losing streak while the softball team ended their six-game losing streak and are currently on a four-game win streak.
The baseball Warhawks recently saw their record fall to 13-23-1 overall and to 3-12 in conference play while the Lady Warhawk softball team is currently 16-18 overall and 2-4 in conference play.
Baseball:
The Warhawks of JDCC were recently swept by Central Alabama and Faulkner State.
JDCC lost to Central Alabama 7-3 and 19-2 before losing to Faulkner State 13-3 and 12-2.
CACC 7-19, JDCC 3-2
In a 7-3 game one loss, Ryne Drummonds took the loss on the mound for JDCC.
Drummonds went six innings and allowed 10 hits, four runs, three earned, walked six and struck out three.
Brandon Blackwelder was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for JDCC and Matthew Watkins was 2-for-4 with one RBI.
In game two, JDCC fell to seven runs in the first and fifth innings to Central Alabama to lose by 17, 19-2.
Lee Hunter was 2-for-2 and Dustin Bickmeyer was 1-for-2. Bennie Britton had one RBI in the loss.
Corey Thompson took the loss on the mound pitching 2/3 of an inning allowing five hits, seven runs, two walks and struck out one.
FSCC 13-12, JDCC 3-2
Against Faulkner, JDCC was outscored 25-5 in two games.
In game one, Faulkner State scored five runs in the third inning and scored in every inning but two.
Blackwelder had one RBI in the loss and Nathan Edwards, Britton, Drummonds, Watkins and Bickmeyer all had hits in the loss.
Jeremy Barnes took the loss on the mound going three innings allowing 12 hits, eight runs, two earned and struck out one.
In game two, Faulkner scored six runs to lead in a 12-2 win.
Bill Hamrick was 2-for-2 with one RBI and Tyler Walker was 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Drummonds earned the loss going 3 2/3 innings allowing nine hits, 10 runs, six earned, walked two and struck out three.
Softball:
In their most recent stretch of 10 games, the Lady Warhawks of JDCC are 4-6.
JDCC lost to Central Alabama 9-0 and 8-1 and lost to Enterprise State 2-1 and 13-0.
Against Wallace State-Dothan, JDCC lost 9-0and 8-0. The Lady Warhawks ended their losing streak with a 7-1 win over Meridian in game one and won game two 8-4.
Against Bishop State, JDCC won 6-4 in both games.
CACC 9-8, 0-1
In the two games against CACC, JDCC was held to five total hits and one run while giving up 17 runs and 22 total hits.
Mallori Armstrong took the loss in game one pitching three innings on the mound allowing five hits, five runs, three earned, walked three and struck out two.
Rebeccah Wright was 1-for-2 and Danielle McCastle was 1-for-1.
In game two, Brittany Linton pitched six innings allowing eight hits, six runs, four earned, walked seven and struck out four.
Elise Schanley was 1-for-2 with one RBI and Sarah Dunaway and McCastle also had hits in the loss.
Enterprise 2-13, 1-0
In two games against Enterprise, JDCC lost 2-1 and 13-0.
In game one, Linton took the loss on the mound pitching seven innings allowing eight this, two runs, one earned, walked two and struck out four.
Dunaway was 1-for-3 with one RBI and Amber Steadham was 2-for-3 with two doubles.
In game two, Loren McVicker took the loss pitching 2 1/3 innings allowing six hits, seven runs, two earned, three walks and struck out none.
Dunaway was 2-for-2 along with Brittany McCastle, Kayla Hayes, Armstrong and Nataline Moseley all having hits in the loss.
Wallace Dothan 9-8, JDCC 0-0
Against Wallace, JDCC was shutout in both games.
In a 9-0 loss in game one, Brittany McCastle had the lone hit as she went 1-for-2.
Linton took the loss on the mound allowing seven hits, nine runs, eight earned, three walks and struck out three.
In game two, Jessica Myrick took the loss on the mound pitching 5 2/3 innings allowing nine hits, eight runs, five earned, four walks and struck out one.
Dunaway was 1-for-3 and Schanley was 2-for-2. Steadham was 1-for-3 with a double.
JDCC 7-8, Meridian 1-4
The Lady Warhawks ended their losing streak with a sweep of Meridian winning 7-1 and 8-4.
In game one, JDCC scored all seven runs in the fourth inning.
Linton earned the win on the mound allowing seven hits, one run, none earned, walked five and struck out 12.
Brittany McCastle led JDCC at the plate going 1-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs.
Dunaway, Amber Ruschel, Hayes, Steadham, Moseley and Jennifer Morris all had hits for JDCC.
In game two, Armstrong won the mound pitching six innings allowing 10 hits, two earned runs, walked none and struck out three.
Steadham was 2-for-3 with a homerun and two RBIs and Danielle McCastle was 2-for-2 with a homerun and two RBIs. Dunaway and Ruschel had doubles in the win.
JDCC 6-6, Bishop 4-4
At Bishop in a conference game, JDCC won both games 6-4.
Schanley was 4-for-4 at the plate in game one with two RBIs and Steadham was 2-for-3 with three RBIs.
Linton earned the win pitching seven innings allowing seven hits, four runs, three walks and struck out 12.
In game two, Jessica Myrick earned the win on the mound pitching 4 1/3 innings allowing eight hits, two runs, no walks and struck out two.
Morris was 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Brittany McCastle was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Ruschel was 4-for-4 with one RBI and Dunaway was 1-for-4 with one RBI.
