The 2011 Brewton Babe Ruth season will begin Monday at T.R. Miller High School’s baseball field.
The 2011 season for Brewton will feature five teams with each team playing 12 games. The season will begin Monday and end Friday, June 3.
Games will be played in Brewton at T.R. Miller and in East Brewton at Johnson Park. Games will begin at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. with one team having the day off from playing each day.
Games will be played on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with games on Friday scheduled for the last games of the season. Monday and Tuesday games will be played in Brewton with Thursday games in East Brewton.
All Star selections will be made Sunday, June 5.
All games will have a two-hour time limit. Rainouts will be scheduled first on Saturdays unless there is an open date.
Teams for Brewton Babe Ruth this year are the Indians, Yankees, Orioles, Pirates and the Cardinals. Coaching the Yankees will be Frankie Godwin and Robert Jones. For the Pirates, coaches will be Daniel Hodge and Jake Dixon and for the Orioles, Rucker Brown and Chris Griffin.
Coaching the Indians will be David Jennings and Howard Joyner and coaching the Cardinals will be Mark Manning and Doug Black.
Players on the Yankees include: Bryce Booker, Jackson Deatherage, Cameron Easterling, Dylan Godwin, Dakota Graves, Hunter Harp, Robert Jones, Andrew Langham, Timothy McDonald, Markail Mitchell, Colton Morris, Dalton Shell and Robert Young.
For the Pirates: Logan Allen, Lane Chavers, Taylor Elliott, Nicholas Glass, Houston Gray, Malcolm Hawthorne, Christopher Jones, Cameron Morris, Alex O’Keane, James Smith, Robin Swift, and Damion Williams.
Team members for the Orioles include: Brooks Brown, Chandler Brown, Zac Griffin, Dominique Jackson, Caden Lodge, Christian Mancil, Tyler Reid, Jared Salter, Landon Salter, Justin Sessions, Kieon Smith, and Dakota Graves.
Players on the Indians include: Christian Alvarez, Brandon Carmichael, Dylan Etheridge, Trippe Floyd, Christopher Gehman, Ryann Gray, Trevares Grooms, River Johnson, Tyler Joyner, Trin Miller, Keaton Parker, Rob Stokes and Michael Williams.
On the Cardinals team, players are: Patrick Ard, Darby Black, Ethan Bollenbacher, Cody Carter, Nicholas Laster, Christopher Lowery, Jonathon Lucas, Jones Manning, Todd Mayo, Jake Najor, James Peach, Miles Powell, and Lowell Swain.
