Six charged in drug cases

Several drug arrests kept the Escambia County Sheriff’s Department busy last week after a particularly productive grand jury session.
Sheriff Grover Smith said several arrests were the result of a busy session of the Escambia County grand jury.
“We had a number of arrests after the grand jury met,” Smith said. “Typically, we will have a large number of arrests after they meet. This was a particularly productive session of the grand jury.”
Also arrested Friday were six individuals charged with a variety of drug charges including distribution and possession of controlled substances.
Wanda Gaudet, 54, of Flomaton was arrested on charges of distribution of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance; Stephen Colvin, 35, of Flomaton was arrested on two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance; Jane Harris, 59, of Brewton was arrested on charges of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and a pick up order; Phillip D. Scott, 37, of Flomaton was arrested on charges of distribution of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance; Ronald S. Freeman, 24, of Flomaton was arrested on 21 counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Gaudet was releaed on $100,000 bond.
Colvin was held on $100,000 bond.
Harris was released on $100,000 bond. Scott was held on $100,000 bond.
Freeman was held on $250,000 bond.
Ellis was released on $50,000 bond.
