JDCC volleyball falls to Snead State, drops to 1-5

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team saw their record fall to 1-5 overall as they recently lost to Snead State 3-1.
The loss also dropped JDCC to 0-3 in conference play. After winning their first game, JDCC has lost five straight.
Against Snead State, JDCC won set one 25-21 before losing set two 25-23, set three 25-22 and set four 25-19 to lose the match.
Flomaton’s Tara Gafford led JDCC with eight kills in the loss to Snead while Jennifer Daniels led with 23 total attacks.
Shelby Weidenhamer had three service aces and Victoria Bracewell had 12 digs.
Gafford also led the Lady Warhawks with five solo blocks.
Hanna Anderson had seven kills in the loss and 16 total attacks while Gafford added 22 attacks.
Amber McMillan had two service aces along with Bracewell. McMillan added 10 digs.
JDCC played at Southern Union Thursday. Game stats were not known as of press time.
The Lady Warhawks were set to play at home today, Monday, at home against Southern union at 7 p.m.
JDCC will play at home Thursday at 3 p.m. against Wallace State-Hanceville. The game with Hanceville is a conference game.
