JDCC volleyball falls at home to Lawson State Monday

The Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawk volleyball team saw their record fall to 1-9 overall as they recently lost to Snead State, Pensacola State and Lawson State.
JDCC lost to Snead State3-1, Pensacola State 3-0 and to Lawson State 3-1 at home Monday night.
The loss also dropped JDCC to 0-4 in conference play. After winning their first game, JDCC has lost nine straight.
JDCC will play at home Thursday at 3 p.m. against Wallace State-Hanceville. The game with Hanceville is a conference game.
Against Snead State, JDCC won set one 25-21 before losing set two 25-23, set three 25-22 and set four 25-19 to lose the match.
Flomaton’s Tara Gafford led JDCC with eight kills in the loss to Snead while Jennifer Daniels led with 23 total attacks.
Shelby Weidenhamer had three service aces and Victoria Bracewell had 12 digs.
Gafford also led the Lady Warhawks with five solo blocks.
Hanna Anderson had seven kills in the loss and 16 total attacks while Gafford added 22 attacks.
Amber McMillan had two service aces along with Bracewell. McMillan added 10 digs.
Pensacola State 3, JDCC 0
Against Pensacola State, JDCC lost 25-8, 25-13, and 25-19.
Anderson led JDCC with five kills and 11 total attacks in the loss.
McMillan added eight digs along with eight from Bracewell while Anderson added three solo blocks in the loss.
Amber Huskey, KiKi Youngblood, Nyia Underwood and Gafford added two kills each in the loss while Weidenhamer had seven digs.
Lawson State 3, JDCC 1
In their home game Monday night against Lawson State, the Lady Warhawks won game one before falling to Lawson in their next three to lose 3-1.
JDCC won set one 25-22 but lost set two 25-21, set three 25-21 and set four 25-22 to lose the match.
Bracewell led with 12 kills in the match and had 24 total attacks followed by 21 from Jennifer Daniels, 18 from Anderson and four from Gafford.
Bracewell added three service aces in the loss and McMillan had 22 digs followed by 12 from Bracewell.
Anderson added two solo blocks.
Following a 25-22 win in game one, JDCC lost game two by four points, 25-21. JDCC led 18-14 late in the match.
In game three, JDCC lost by four, 25-21, after the game was tied 20-20 late.
In the fourth game, JDCC led 15-13 before seeing Lawson tie the game at 17-17. JDCC took an 18-17 lead following the tie. From there, Lawson took a 23-18 lead.
