TRM XC girls place first in Pace race Tuesday

The T.R. Miller Lady Tiger cross country team placed first Tuesday in a race at Pace while the boys placed seventh.
The Lady Tigers finished first out of nine teams and had a total score of 37 points to second place Pace who finished second with 62 points.
Karisa Nelson placed first for the Lady Tigers with a time of 18:33 followed by Allie Nelson in second with a time of 20:14.
Amber Nelson came in seventh with a time of 21:52 and Breann Huff’s time of 22:50 gave her a 12th place finish.
Katie Nelson came in 15th place with a time of 23:02 and Amber Terry placed 16th with a time of 23:11. Katie Baggett’s time of 23:27 gave her an 18th place finish while Hannah Blair ran a time of 25:23. Ashley Daugherty had a time of 26:48 and Morgan Rowell had a time of 26:59 along with Shelby Evans.
The T.R. Miller boys came in seventh out of nine teams.
Rob Stokes placed fourth for T.R. Miller with a time of 17:30. Andrew Pollitte finished 18th with a time of 18:40 and Ryan Snowden had a 65th place finish with a time of 20:50.
Carter Frezell placed close to Snowden as he came in 67th place with a time of 20:58 and Ramon Castro came in 82nd place with a time of 21:40.
John West placed 84th for T.R. Miller with a time of 21:48 and Travis Carlson had a time of 23:30. Nash Diercks had a time of 23:51 and Austin Rowell had a time of 26:09.
“The team is really improving right now,” T.R. Miller head coach Rob Atkinson said. “We had 16 out of 20 runners run their best times of the year in this meet.”
The Tiger runners will be back in action Saturday at Auburn and will not run in the Pace race next week.
