JDCC basketball beats Marion Wednesday

The Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawk basketball increased their winning streak to seven wins Wednesday as they defeated Marion Military 67-62.
JDCC led by seven points, 35-28, after the first half before being outscored by two, 34-32, in the second half, but managed to get the win by five points.
With the win, the Warhawks improved to 18-8 and was scheduled to play at Shelton Friday at 5:30 p.m. JDCC will begin play in the regional tournament in Tuscaloosa Thursday at 1 p.m. against Southern Union or Chattahoochee Valley.
In the game against Marion Wednesday, JDCC had three players score in double figures with Turmonte Ragland leading the way with 21 points. Brandon Scott poured in 12 points and Larel Jackson followed with 11.
Sherman Presswood chipped in eight points and Adam Stumpf followed with six. Greg Crum added five points and D.J. Jackson added four points in the win.
Scott led the Warhawks with eight rebounds and Larel Jackson led with seven assists. Grum led in the win with two blocks and Presswood finished with two steals.
