Mrs. Katherine Sandifer, 88, of Hoover(formerly of Centreville) died Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Ashton Gables in Riverchase.  She was preceded in death by  her husband, the Rev. Hayne E. Sandifer; her parents, Nova F. Bleckley and Rachel Bleckley;  sisters, Mary Boozer and Sara Stallings; and brother, Nova Franklin Bleckley, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Robert H. (Cynthia) Sandifer of Millbrook, James E. (Karen) Sandifer of Mobile, and Glenn B. (Marti) Sandifer of Gordo; her daughters, Sandra S. (James) Hannah of Greer, S.C. and Marie S. (Ricky) Harbison of Birmingham; sisters,  Jo McEachern and Ann Huddle both of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15, at 11:30 a.m. at Centreville Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Pineland Cemetery with Rockco Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Rob Hannah, Matt Harbison, Jason Hannah, Zach Sandifer, William Sandifer and Caleb Sandifer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to: The Hayne and Katherine Sandifer Scholarship Fund for Ministerial Students, at Hilldale Baptist Church in Center Point or the Baptist Foundation in Montgomery.
