Mr. Louis Benton Steadham, Jr., 84, died Sunday, March 18, 2012 at a local hospital after an extended illness.
He was a native of Monroeville, and had been a resident of the Brewton area for the past 80 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, had worked at T.R. Miller Mill Company for a number of years, and was a member of East Brewton First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty H. Steadham of Brewton; a sister, Martha Galliher of Pensacola, Fla.; several nieces, Peggy Rein, Sarah Odom, Marie McRae, all of Brewton, and Tracie Ireland of Pensacola, Fla. and nephews, Robert Watson of Brewton, and Jim Voytek of Pensacola.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 20, at 3 p.m. at Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. John Mathieu officiating. Burial followed in Weaver Family Cemetery and Craver’s Funeral Home directing. Please share your memories and condolences with the family at www.craversfh.com.
