Mrs. Margaret Laverne Martin Rawson, 65, of Bristol Ridge, died Thursday, March 23, 2012 in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native of Bastrop, La., a former resident of Dothan, and a long time resident of Brewton. She served the Lord at Alco Baptist Church where she was a faithful choir member, and she recently retired after 25 years from the Medical Center Pharmacy where she was a bookkeeper.
She is survived a son, Jason (Sandra Bodiford) Rawson of Phenix City; a sister, Yvonne Cottrell of Brewton; two grandsons, Jamison Rawson and Soren Rawson, both of  Phenix City; many nieces and nephews including
Danny (Karen) Cottrell of Brewton, and Ronnie (Jean) Cottrell of Tallahassee, Fla.; many cousins including; Annette (Jerry) Daniels, Dianne (Henry) Hilton; and many co-workers.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 24, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Yuhaz officiating. Burial followed in Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
