Mr. James Pinkney “Jim” Kent, 76, died Monday, March 26, 2012 in a Monroeville hospital. He was a native and long time resident of Repton, and was a resident of Brewton, prior to moving to Monroeville. He attended Springhill Methodist Church and was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Aline Kent; and his brothers, Doug Kent, William Kent, and Earl Kent.
He is survived by his sister, Pauline Ivey of Monroeville; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Springhill United Methodist Church on Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 28, at 3 p.m. at Springhill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Smith and the Rev. Bobby Boatwright officiating.  Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery with Craver’s Funeral Home directing.
