Mrs. Mary Agnes Murphy Dixon, 91, of Forrest Avenue, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Munson, Fla.,  and a long time resident of East Brewton. She was employed as a legal secretary at T. R. Miller Mill Company and the State of Alabama. She was a member of East Brewton First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Burl Dixon of East Brewton; a son, Tim (Elaine) Dixon of Laurel Hill, Fla.; two daughters, Phyllis Kay Martin and Laura (Doug) Kervin, both of Brewton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday April 23, at 11 a.m. at East Brewton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Watts officiating. Burial followed in Fort Crawford Cemetery in  East Brewton, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
