Pearl Lou Wade Stallworth

Mrs. Pearl Lou Wade Stallworth, 81, died Sunday, April 20, 2012. She was a native of Ogeechee, Ga., a former resident of Riverside, Calif., and a former resident of Peoria, Ill., before moving to Brewton in 1984. She was an active member of her church and community. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Wade; her husband, James McDuffie Stallworth; a brother, Frank Wade Jr.; and a son, Wayne McDuffie Stallworth.
She is survived by her children, Deborah Stallworth and James (Mary) Stallworth, both of Brewton, Elzina Frazier of Century, Fla., Margaretta (Leon) Cooper of Jacksonville, N.C., and Amanda (Leon) Kennedy of Villa Rica, Ga.; her step-children, Joanne Stallworth of Brewton, and Fred (Carolyn) Stallworth of Pensacola, Fla.; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gussie Harris and Gazeila Stallworth, both of Brewton; and a host of other friends and family.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 5, at 1 p.m. at Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Straughn officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
