Mrs. Dorothy Mae Cain McGhee, 71, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was of the Christian faith and a retired seamstress from Vanity Fair.
She is survived by nine children, Burns (Sherry) Elliott, Patricia (Arnie) Williams, Kathy (Donnie) Fuqua, Johnny Ray (Shirley) Elliott, Otis McGhee, Harold (Alicia) McGhee and Renee (Sam) Frasier, all of Brewton, and Chris (Denise) McGhee of Cherokee; two brothers, Nelson (Pat) Cain of Sandhill, Miss., and Austin (Frances) Cain of Batesville, Miss.; a sister, Ethel (Cyril) Hammac of Brewton; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 15, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the  Rev. Eddie Hammac officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
