Mrs. Ima Nell Wiggins Lawrence, 78, of Gordon Lane died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 in a local hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Brewton and a former resident of New Jersey before moving back to Brewton in 1965. She was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired clerk from the Department of Human Resources.

She was preceded in death by a son, George Edward Lawrence, and a daughter, Cynthia Jane Lawrence.

She is survived by three sons, Phillip (Amy Dhal) Lawrence of Bayonne, N.J.; Paul Lawrence and family and Joseph Lawrence and family, all of Brewton; two sisters, Edith Harold of Pace, Fla., and Georgi Anne Bishop of Alford, Fla.; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5 from noon to 1 p.m. at Elim Baptist Church in the Roberts Community.

Funeral services will b held June 5 at 1 p.m. at Elim Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Elim Cemetery in the Roberts Community with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
