Mr. Charles Ray Kent, 56, died May 26, 2012. He was a member of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church until he moved to Omaha, Neb., where he attended Shiloh Christian Worship Center.
He is survived by his mother, Katie B. Kent; four sisters, Lillie Ruth (Odell) Allen of Brewton, Katie (Henry) Greer of Omaha, Annie Ruth Miller of Mobile, and Barbara Kent of Nashville, Tenn.; four brothers, Willie Lewis Kent, Mark Kent and Alonzo Kent, all of Evergreen; a sister-in-law, Louise Kent; a special nephew, Charles Kent; two aunts, Annie Hopkins and Minnie Ruth Bradley; a close friend, Glen Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the Johnsonville Community, with the Rev. Duran Odoms officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Christian Memorial Funeral Home directing.
