Mr. Jimmy Ray Hendricks, 69, died unexpectedly on June 12, 2012. He was a native of Brewton, and a long-time resident of Vero Beach. He was a certified general contractor in the Vero Beach area for more than 31 years and a commercial fisherman for most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Korea from 1968 to 1972. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernard J. Hendricks.
He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Hendricks Brown, of Brewton, and Amanda L. Hendricks, of Vero Beach; a grandson, Jackson Ray Carpenter and a granddaughter Kendall Elise Carpenter, both of Brewton.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Moore officiating at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home.
