April Denise Jackson, 22, of Montgomery Street in Troy, died Friday, June 22, 2012 in Montgomery, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
She was a native of Findlay, Ohio, and had been a resident of Troy for the past four years, coming from Brewton. She was a 2007 graduate of W.S. Neal High School and attended Jefferson Davis Community College. She attended Troy University where she was a member of Tau Beta Sigma. She was a Specialist with the Army Reserve in Dothan from 2009 until her death. She worked as a bank teller for BB&T, and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her her maternal grandfather, Derry Chavers; and paternal grandmother, Florence Jackson.
She is survived by her parents, Claude Jackson, Jr. and Helen Chavers Jackson of Brewton; grandmother, Wilma Chavers of Brewton; grandfather, Claude Jackson, Sr. of Findlay; two brothers, Zack Chavers of Brewton, and Ron Jackson of Columbus, Ohio; five sisters, Cheyenne Jackson of Brewton, Claudia Jackson of North Carolina, Charmain Jackson of Columbus, Ohio, Chasandra Jackson of Findlay, and Niesey Howze of Wiggins, Miss.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Russ McDonald officiating. Burial followed in Weaver Cemetery, with Craver’s Funeral Home directing..
