The Rev. Otto Parker died Tuesday, June 26, 2012. He was director of Human Resources with the Alabama Department of Industrial Relations for 30 years, and served as a United Methodist minister for 19 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jean T. Hammonds; his daughters, Charlotte H. Lackey and Catherine Hammonds Roy; his sister, Annie Hammonds Wilson, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30, at 2 p.m. at Wallsboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ashley Davis and the Rev. James Dannelly officiating. A private entombment will be later at Greenwood Cemetery.
